Fishing in Oxfordshire
There are many places where you can enjoy fishing in Oxfordshire with the River Thames, Isis, Cherwell and Windrush together with the Oxford Canal meandering their way through the county giving plenty of opportunities for great fishing.

All along the riverbank there are fishing clubs available to join or obtain day tickets from with some offering help for disabled anglers and most with parking nearby.
There are also a number of private lakes which are well stocked with a wide variety of fish such as roach, tench, carp, pike and rudd plus there are also other areas for licensed fishing along the way.
Just five miles west of Oxford is Farmoor Reservoir covering 240 acres and stocking both rainbow and brown trout for fly fishing.
Fishing appeals to both young and old and what could be better than sitting alongside some of the county’s most beautiful countryside relaxing the day away fishing in Oxfordshire.
