Out and About in Wheatley

Wheatley village lies close to the M40 motorway between London and Birmingham and is six miles east of Oxford.

Out and about in Wheatley you can visit the Windmill in Windmill Lane which is above the village. There is a manor house which still retains its original appearance in 1601 and nearby is B George Coaching Inn with a gift shop.

Nearby is Shotover Park in an area of outstanding beauty with Shotover House which houses the library and social centre for the village.

Wheatley is the site of Oxford Brookes University with its easily distinguishable high rise tower. There is also Oxford School of Reflexology and Oxford House School of English.

Out and about in Wheatley you can take a trip to the nearby Waterperry Gardens which includes eight acres of landscaped ornamental gardens, guaranteed to delight and inspire garden-lovers from across the country and the world. There is also a plant centre-garden shop and tea-room.
