Out and about in Cropredy
The village of Cropredy is mentioned in the Domesday Book and was the site of Civil Battle of Cropredy Bridge in 1644.
Cropredy won the award for the Best Kept Village in 2005 and voted No. 1 Waterside Best Village in 2006 making it a truly beautiful place to visit and there are properties with the traditional thatched roofs seen around the village.
When you are out and about in Cropredy you are never far from water with the River Cherwell and the Oxford Canal both flowing through this quaint old village making it an ideal place to walk or cycle.
The village Church dating back to the 14th century contains some beautiful stained glass with the Lady Chapel dedicated to St. Fremund.
